We are booked at Shades of Green and have our park passes. I'd like to purchase the Disney Dining plan, is this available to us?

    Hi Tracy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Your hotel room is booked and your tickets have been purchased. All that's left to do now is make Dining Reservations, and once your first Disney Day is 60 days away, you can make your FastPass+ attraction reservations too. I bet you're so excited!

Mine is a Military family too, and I stayed at Shades of Green for the first time in November. I think you're going to love it! The rooms are spacious, there are so many amenities, and the dining options are all wonderful. However, when it comes to dining at Walt Disney World Resort's Theme Parks, Resort Hotels and at Disney Springs, Disney Dining Plans are reserved for only those who are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel. This is only because currently the system used to keep tabs of meal and snack entitlements is directly linked back to a guest's on-property hotel reservation.

One of the most loved values to a Disney Dining Plan is the ability to pay for it before your vacation so you don't come home to a crazy credit card bill. Others love being able to order whatever they'd like at Disney's various Dining Experiences without worrying about menu math. One solution I found that kind of replicates both of the above is buying Disney Gift Cards. Disney Gift Cards are sold online and at Disney Stores, but you can also usually find them at retailers in your home town such as grocery stores, drug stores, big box stores and warehouse club stores. Some places even sell these cards with slightly more value loaded on to them than what they charge!

Disney Gift Cards are accepted almost everywhere at Walt Disney World Resort. The only place I've ever had trouble redeeming one was at the movie theatre at Disney Springs. And best of all, should you have any value left over after your vacation you can use it to shop online or even save it for your next visit to Mickey's house!

I hope this tip helped to better plan your upcoming vacation, Tracy, and We'll See You Real Soon!
