We are booked at several character and signature dining experiences. I have heard that even with reservations you may need to wait upwards of an hour before seated. Is this true? How long is average wait time in mid May. Thank you

    Hi, Sheila!

If you have an Advance Dining Reservation, you should not have to wait an hour for your table.  Plan to check in at the restaurant podium about 10 minutes prior to your reservation.  You will be given a pager that will let you know when your table is ready.  Always ask how long it will be for you to be seated so you will know if they are running behind schedule.   They will be able to tell you how long you should be waiting, and feel free to check back with them if your wait gets too long.  If I had to guess, I would say my family is usually seated within about 10 minutes of our reservation time.

If there is an extended delay, this might give you a few extra minutes to browse a gift shop or explore a new resort.  The cast members will make every effort to get you seated as quickly as possible.

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
