We are booked for Sept 2014 & chose to book our flight seperate & to add transportation to our cruise. How exactly will our arrival & departure work? will we still use the luggage tages? do buses run all day to & from?

    Ahoy Theresa!
Congratulations on your upcoming Disney Cruise! I'm excited to hear you will be setting sail in September for a fun, high sea adventure!  You will be happy to know that Disney Cruise Line ground transportation will make the beginning and ending of your vacation smooth and seamless.  Luggage tags will arrive with your cruise documents a few weeks before your cruise departure.  You will place these on your luggage prior to leaving for the airport because Disney Cruise Line will take care of your luggage for you when it arrives at the Orlando Airport.  You will skip baggage claim and head straight to Disney's Magical Express Welcome Center which is located on Side B, Level One.  Your luggage will magically appear outside your stateroom door later than afternoon.  The motor coach buses begin running around 9:30 AM and run until around 2:00 PM.
When you depart the ship on embarkation day, you will need to collect your luggage in the cruise terminal and pass through U.S. Customs before heading to your ground transportation.  The motor coaches will be lined up and run throughout the morning beginning around 7:30 AM.  Your bus driver will let you know when he/she has arrived at your airline's curbside drop-off and will assist you by getting your luggage off the bus.
I hope my answer gives you a good idea of what to expect, Theresa! If I can assist you further, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
