Hey there, Gemma!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! Are you excited that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is getting closer! I'm happy for you that you're about to enjoy all the magic.
You ask a great question about theme park tickets and theme park reservations, and it's helpful and important to know how they are different.
When you visit a Walt Disney World Resort theme park, you'll need two things: a valid theme park admission and a theme park reservation for the first park you want to visit on a specific day. Your valid theme park admission is
the theme park ticket you purchase. Your theme park reservation is
the reservation you make through the Disney Park Pass system for the theme park you want to visit on the specific day you want to visit.
When you purchase theme park tickets, you'll typically spend less per day on admission when you add more days to your tickets. Think of this as "the more you play, the less you pay." If you purchased one ticket of the type "2-Day Ticket with Admission to 1 Park Per Day" you could save a few dollars compared to purchasing two of the type "1-Day Ticket with Admission to 1 Park Per Day." My best suggestion for you is to contact the Walt Disney World Resort Ticketing team by calling them at 407-566-4985 and explore your options for the tickets you purchased. You could also visit a Guest Relations Window located near the entry at each of the theme parks.
Just to be sure you're all ready for a magical stay, you'll want to be sure that you have theme park admission valid for two days and two separate theme park reservations. You can check the "My Plans" area of your My Disney Experience account by using the website version of
My Disney Experience or the
My Disney Experience mobile app. You'll see your theme park tickets displayed, and you'll see your theme park reservations displayed as part of your daily itinerary.
Gemma, I hope your visit to Walt Disney World Resort is simply wonderful. Enjoy all the Disney magic that awaits you!
Jerry
