    Hello! We just booked our second WDW trip for Dec. 2015. We had magic bands with our last trip, this time we are bringing my son (his present).My question is do we get new bands or do we need to find our old bands? How do I link tickets when I buy them?

    Hey Amy-

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Congratulations on your second trip and another chance to experience the hidden magic of my second “home”. I just need to figure a way to get Cinderella to move out of the castle so my family can move in.

    Magic Your Way vacation package tickets will link to all MagicBands and you will see them on your Disney account. Whenever you book accommodations at a Walt Disney World Resort, each Guest in your party will receive a new MagicBand. Several MagicBands maybe linked to your My Disney Experience. 

    If you are not staying on Walt Disney World Resort property then just link your new tickets to your My Disney Experience account. This information should automatically associate new tickets with your current MagicBand. To be safe, I would bring the tickets and the MagicBand to a Cast Member at a theme park ticket window to verify the link.

    If you want a new MagicBand you always have the option of purchasing standard and designer MagicBands from the online Disney Store or in many of the merchandise stores located throughout the Walt Disney World Resort and at Downtown Disney.

    As a suggestion, if available during your December trip, I recommend you attend the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom Park. With winter festive decorations, an “iced” Cinderella Castle, hot cocoa and cookies to enjoy and “snow” falling on Main Street USA, this party is a holiday season must do.
