Hey there, hi there, ho there, Richard! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for sending your question our way. It sounds like you have such a fun trip coming up this February! With the weather just right and the parks full of magic, I’m glad to hear you’re already getting everything set up for your stay.
I reached out to a friendly Cast Member to make sure I could give you the most accurate information possible. They confirmed that, in order to take advantage of the
Florida Resident discount, at least one Florida Resident must be listed on each room reservation booked under that rate. The good news is that the other Guests in those rooms do not need to be Florida Residents themselves.
In your case, since you mentioned you have three rooms total and only two were booked using the Florida Resident discount, it sounds like the third room was correctly reserved at the regular rate. Each of those Florida Resident rooms needs to have a valid Florida Resident listed as a Guest to qualify for the discount, and valid proof of residency will be required at check-in.
If you’re the only Florida Resident across all three rooms, I’d recommend calling the
Walt Disney World Resort reservation line to speak with a Cast Member directly. They’ll be able to review your booking details and adjust the rates if necessary to make sure everything is correctly set before your arrival. Doing this now will help you avoid any issues or rate changes during check-in, ensuring that your vacation starts off as smoothly as possible.
Richard, you’re absolutely going to love your February visit. Whether you’re catching the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts or simply soaking in those beautiful Florida mornings, your stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth is sure to be unforgettable. Please don't hesitate to reach back out to us if you have any other questions!
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
