Hi, there!
Christina, I'm so excited to hear you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It's the very best kind if you ask me!
I love
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. It completely immerses my family in the magic of Disney storytelling! If you booked Standard Rooms in The Little Mermaid section of the resort, the walk to Animation Hall to catch a theme park bus or grab a bite to eat at Landscape of Flavors
can be lengthy, especially if you have mobility concerns. If you'd prefer to change your reservation to
Disney's Pop Century Resort, call the Reservation Team at (407) 939-1936. A friendly Cast Member there will be happy to discuss your options with you! Please note that many rooms in the '50s and '60s section are considered "Preferred." This means that they're closer to amenities and a bit more expensive.
If you'd rather stay at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, you may want to consider changing your room reservation to be nearer to Animation Hall. A Family Suite in The Lion King or Finding Nemo sections might fit the bill for your mobility needs! These suites are spacious and close to everything you'd need during your stay.
Have you looked into renting an ECV?
Electronic Conveyance Vehicles are available to rent from all four theme parks, but I recommend renting from Disney's Featured Provider, ScooterBug. When you rent a mobility device from ScooterBug, you can keep it with you as you travel back and forth between the theme parks and your Disney Resort hotel. It's super convenient!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, Christina. Please visit us again soon with any new questions you may have about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! We'd love to help you plan a magical stay.
