Hello! I booked a room using my DVC points at Copper Creek Villas in January. Do we all have to have park tickets for the same days? And do we have to have a park ticket for every day of our stay?

Welcome Home, Astrid! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney with another great question. I'm so glad our advice has been helpful in the past, and I'm pleased as can be to help a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member have a magical and memorable vacation.

This is a timely ticketing question, as our family recently navigated this very scenario on our most recent trip to Walt Disney World Resort!  We made a quick visit and had one family day at Magic Kingdom Park, then let our teen daughters have a sister day to explore EPCOT while my husband and I opted for a more leisurely day of shopping and dining at Disney Springs

To purchase your tickets, navigate to the “My Dashboard” section of the DVC Member website (it’s under “My DVC” at the upper right). When you scroll down, you’ll see your reservation listed for Disney's Copper Creek Villas & Cabins. Click on this, and it will display several options for your vacation, including adding a Disney dining plan and purchasing tickets

From here, you’ll see options to purchase theme park tickets for the number of days you need. This does not need to equal the number of days that you are staying at Copper Creek! When we do a longer vacation, we often plan for a non-park day in the middle to enjoy our resort and relax a bit from the bustle of the theme parks.

Note that these tickets are considered “date-based”, which means that you will select a start date and have a defined window to use them–but they do not have to be used on consecutive days. For instance, your group may visit EPCOT together on your first day, then some folks may decide to check out Disney’s Hollywood Studios on day 2 while others choose to activate peak vacation mode and chill by the pool.

If different people in the group require a different number of days for their tickets, I recommend making separate transactions. For our recent visit, I purchased two single-day tickets for my husband and me, then two two-day tickets for the girls to be extra careful that I didn’t get anything mixed up. Everything went just swimmingly and we had no issues at all.

Astrid, I hope this information is just the ticket to a practically perfect Walt Disney World vacation! Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please reach out anytime if I can help with additional planning questions!

    Stay Magical!
