We are booked in a room at the Polynesian Resort, and it has a theme park view. Will the nightly fireworks be loud or bright from the room? Our small children go to sleep early, and I don't want them to be kept awake on nights that they go to bed on time.

    Hi Laura,

My most recent Disney adventure included five nights at the Polynesian Resort, and it was amazing!  As soon as we entered the lobby, we felt as though we were in a tropical paradise!  My kids loved receiving flower leis at check in!  I highly recommend including a character breakfast at Ohana on your "to do" list!  My kids (and several Moms on this Panel!) believe that it serves the best scrambled eggs at Disney!

We had a room with a Magic Kingdom view, and I am happy to report that by pulling the "black-out" curtains closed, you won't be able to see anything except for whatever night light you chose to leave on in your room.  We were able to hear a bit of "popping" from the fireworks, but it was very muted, and barely noticeable when we closed our balcony door.  It certainly didn't keep my light sleepers up.

    Have a wonderful vacation!
