Hello, I booked a room for my Mother and father in law and hopper passes. I can make plans for my Mother in Law but not my father in law, how can i add my father in law?

Welcome to planDisney, Tom! I’m always extra EARxcited when I can help a fellow Pennsylvanian plan for a trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Tom, as a guest who has also been in charge of planning for multiple people through My Disney Experience I understand the importance of being able to connect and manage plans. Since it sounds like your Mother-in-law is ready for her Minnie Ears, let’s talk about connecting your Father-in-law.

If he does not have a My Disney Experience account, he will either need to create one or you can create one for him that you will manage. Tom, when we traveled with my Father-in-law, he had no interest in managing any of his own plans, so my husband created everything and still manages his account!

Now, if he would like access, give input and be able to see his plans on his smartphone, I encourage you to have him create his own account. Once that is created, he’ll first want to link the Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation confirmation number to his account HERE. Since it sounds like you’ve booked a package, any tickets associated with that confirmation number will also automatically appear in his account.

Next, to connect your account to his, you’ll want to visit the “Family & Friends” section of My Disney Experience, either through your browser or the Mobile App. If you’re using the App, you’ll begin by clicking on the three horizontal bars in the bottom right corner of the home screen. Scroll down until you see “My Profile.” When you click on “My Profile” you’ll be taken to a page where you can toggle to the “Family & Friends List” at the top right corner. Then follow the prompts to “Add a Guest.” You’ll need to have the email address that is associated with your Father-in-law’s account and then he can accept the connection request on his end. After all of those steps, you should see his name when you view your “My Family & Friends List” and your planning can continue!
Tom, I hope this helps as you’re booking advanced dining reservations, considering extra experiences and more. If you have any additional questions please come on back to planDisney where we love to help guests even more than Daisy loves Donald.

My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
