Welcome, Sandra. It’s so nice to meet you virtually. When I saw that your question involved my
Disney Vacation Club home resort, I jumped at the chance to answer it!
Disney’s Contemporary Resort is such a classic. It’s been there since the beginning of the Walt Disney World Resort, and it has some of the best dining of all of the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. My husband swears he had the best steak of his life at
California Grill, and I just love the French Onion Soup and the Gourmet Grilled Cheese at
Steakhouse 71. Plus, let’s not forget about the
Contempo Café, which has some of my favorite treats! And if you’re into dining with the characters, you’ve got
Chef Mickey’s right there.
If your first reservation is booked as a vacation package (with your theme park tickets and hotel room together), your tickets will have a set usage window. Depending on how many ticket days you purchase, that window may end on the checkout date of your first stay. If that happens, you may not have a valid ticket day on the checkout day of your second, one-night reservation. You can confirm this when you select the number of days you'll want on your ticket when you are booking your stay. Also, keep in mind that while you can request to stay in the same room for both reservations, because these are two separate bookings, there is a chance you may be asked to change rooms.
The good news is that your
resort perks and benefits are typically available starting on check-in day and remain active through checkout day for each stay, so you’ll continue to enjoy those throughout your time at Disney.
Before you complete your bookings, make sure you’re taking a peek at the
Special Offers page to see if there are any discounts for the time you’ll be at the resort to make that four-night stay more attainable!
Sandra, make sure you take advantage of your prime location right across the street from
Magic Kingdom Park and on the
monorail line. I love hopping on that "highway in the sky" and visiting
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. If you think about it, it triples your dining options. So don’t sleep on options like
Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at the Polynesian and the
Enchanted Rose at the Grand Floridian. And those are just two of many options available to you!
New friend, best wishes with planning. If you have any other questions,
don’t hesitate to reach out!
Enjoy every monorail moment,
Matt
