Hi there, Sheri! Welcome to planDisney and thank you for bringing us your question. It sounds like a visit to the Disneyland Resort is in the works and I'm thrilled to help with your question.
Oh boy! You have your hotel room and theme park tickets, you're almost there! You indeed will need to have
a theme park reservation (along with your valid ticket) to enter the parks. Theme park reservations can be made 120 days in advance of your visit, and you can check the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to make sure your date(s) are available. Depending on how your tickets were purchased, you may already have a reservation. There's a quick way for you to check this. At the Disneyland website, go to "My Disneyland" on the far right towards the top, then click on "My Plans." Here you'll see a list of any theme park reservations you have booked. You can also find this in the
Disneyland app by tapping on the three horizontal bars in the lower right corner, then tapping on the tile "Future Plans." Once you've made (or confirmed you have) your theme park reservation, the only thing left to do is start a countdown to your magical visit!
This year is a fantastic time to visit the Happiest Place on Earth, Sheri. The
Disney100 Celebration just recently made its debut and the resort is decked out in its purple and platinum best. The new attraction,
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, is now open and available to experience via the
virtual queue. Quick tip, make theme park reservations with Disneyland as your starting park to have two chances (if needed) to secure a boarding group. I had the opportunity to experience this attraction recently and thought it was so fun and cute. Be on the lookout for hidden Mickeys throughout the queue and on the ride.
I hope this has been helpful, Sheri. Please come back to ask us any other questions as you continue to plan your magical stay!
Happy planning!
Michelle
