    If I booked the Riviera using my DVC points, Am I the only one who can book the dining plan? We have family members staying in the room with us, but they may not want the same dining plan or no dining plan. Can they use their own Disney experience app?

    Hi there, Erika,

    Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for asking a great question about adding a Disney Dining Plan to a Disney Vacation Club resort reservation. Purchasing a Disney Dining Plan or a Disney Quick Service Dining Plan is a great way to experience dining at Walt Disney World Resort while sticking to a set budget. My family has used the Disney Dining Plan to experience Table Service restaurants we wouldn't normally visit and even used it for Character dining (my daughters loved meeting their favorite Characters!)

    If considering adding a Dining Plan, it's important to know that Dining Plans must be added to all Guests on the reservation for the total number of nights on the reservation, and may only be added after your reservation is secured. 

    To add a dining plan to your reservation, start by logging into your Disney Vacation Club (DVC) account on the DVC website. Once logged in, hover over the “My DVC” tab and select “My Dashboard.” In the dashboard, find your December reservation under “Active Reservations” and click the arrow next to it to reveal the “Trip Options” menu. From there, select “Purchase Dining Plan” to view pricing options for both the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan and the Disney Dining Plan. When you are ready to add a Dining Plan to your reservation, click the blue "Add Dining Plan" button. 

    If the Dining Plan isn’t the right fit for your travel party, you’ll still have many dining options to explore throughout Walt Disney World Resort. As a Disney Vacation Club Member, you’re also eligible for exclusive discounts on dining, merchandise, special events, and more! Before heading to the airport, I always check the DVC Member website to review the latest Benefits and Savings available to Members - there’s nothing like finding new ways to save and make the most of your trip!
