Hi - I have just booked a Rivers of Light Dessert Party. I've just noticed a gratuity has been added on. When I booked a Fireworks Dessert party, there was no gratuity. Is this correct? We are a party of 3.

    Hi Lynne!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Rivers of Light - We are One is a stunning nighttime show at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and I think one of the best ways to enjoy this is by making reservations for a Rivers of Light - We Are one Dessert Party or a Rivers of Light Dining Package.  This way, not only will you enjoy delicious dessert treats, but you will have guaranteed seating in a reserved area, and will eliminate the need to queue for a seat.   Booking information on the website states that payment is required in advance, including tax, but gratuity is not included or required. I also made a dummy booking and saw that gratuity was included in the total payment.  I would suggest that you call the Dining Reservations number listed in this Walt Disney World Phone Directory (it is a freephone number for the UK) to clarify whether you need to pay a gratuity or not.

There are so many amazing attractions and shows at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Your FastPass+ reservations are available 60 days in advance (for Disney Resort hotel guests), or 30 days in advance for all other guests, on My Disney Experience.  I highly recommend (during the day or at night) Kilimanjaro Safaris and Expedition Everest.

Please come back and if you have any further questions.  We will be happy to help you plan your magical holiday to Walt Disney World.  Keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest official updates on any events that may be taking place during your visit.
