Hi, Jana, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I had the privilege of attending the
Up Close with Rhinos tour last month and let me tell you: you are in for a TREAT! This was one of the most magical experiences I've ever had at Walt Disney World Resort. Your confirmation number should be all you need; simply check in at the Curiosity Animal Tours Kiosk, located across from the Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction entrance. Make sure you're there right at 10:45 a.m. to give yourself plenty of time to check in, read and sign some paperwork with information about the experience, and be ready to go when it begins promptly at 11. And if you get to meet Helen the Rhino, tell her I said "hi!"
As for the
Disability Access Service (DAS), after you've registered in person at one of the Guest Relations Main Entrance locations at any of the four main Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks, the DAS will remain valid for up to 60 days (based on your ticket entitlement). The Guest Relations Cast Member who registers you and your party will enter your information electronically and will connect your DAS to your theme park tickets (cards or MagicBands).
Did you know you can also pick up specialized Theme Park maps for Guests with Disabilities at Guest Relations? These maps offer tips and information for Guests with Mobility, Visual and Hearing Disabilities. Additionally, Walt Disney World Resort has a
guide for helping Guests with Cognitive Disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder, too. Hopefully these resources will help you enjoy Walt Disney World Resort to its fullest extent!
