I booked 2017 resort reservation via phone. Thinking about purchasing pk tickets on line& linking it to my resort reservation. I know will have to pay it all at once. Any other issues that i may run into? Hoping to buy it at 2016 rate.

    Hi Michelle,

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. I love that you are already planning your 2017 Walt Disney World vacation! So much of the fun of a Walt Disney World vacation for me is the planning. As a matter of fact, right before I started to answer your question, I was booking dining reservations for our next Walt Disney World trip!

I think that if you can, purchasing your theme park tickets now for your Walt Disney World vacation is a good idea. As you implied in your question, if there is a price increase before 2017, you will have already bought your tickets before the increase. The time that you have to use the tickets does not begin until the first time you use them to go into a theme park, so they should be fine for your 2017 holiday.

As you mentioned, you will need to pay for the tickets in full when you purchase them. Depending on how many people you are traveling with, this might require some budgeting. Here is an idea: if you are buying four tickets, but buying them all at once is too much, you could buy one at a time every couple of months. This will help you spread out the cost over time. If you decide to purchase the tickets one at a time, be sure to have them all purchased at least 60 days before your arrival date. You will need to have a ticket linked for each person in your party for whom you want to make Disney's FastPass+ selections, and you will be able to do so 60 days before you arrive. As you buy the tickets, whether you do them all at once or one at a time, you should link each to a person in your traveling party on your My Disney Experience account. Be sure to set one up if you do not have one yet, as this is where you will manage all of your dining and Disney's FastPass+ selections.

I hope that this information is helpful for you, Michelle. Please do let us know if you have any further questions.
