Hi! I booked a resort reservation in April 2020 for June 2021. I couldn’t add Park tickets because it was too far out. When I add tickets to my packet, will I have to pay another deposit? Or will the tix just be added to my reservation at no extra cost?

    Welcome BACK, LaDonna!

Thank you for again asking another great Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I love that you've already secured beds for your heads at a Disney Resort Hotel for your 2021 visit to Mickey's House! Currently your reservation is a "Room Only" booking, of which you've already paid a deposit equal to the amount of one night's stay. The deposit price for a Disney Resort Hotel + Ticket (or + Dining Dining Plan!) package is *$200. (*The deposit price at the time of this writing is $200, but do note that prices are subject to change at any time without warning.)

I don't have the proper Magic Mirror to see which Disney Resort Hotel you'll call home during your trip or to confirm how much your Room Only deposit was. But, I can tell you that when going from a 'Room Only' reservation to a Room + Ticket (or Room + Ticket + Disney Dining Plan) package, you'll only have to pay an additional amount if the initial Room Only deposit that you already paid is less than the *$200 Package deposit. If your room deposit was less, then yes, you will be charged at the time of the upgrade in the amount of whatever the difference is. However, if your room deposit was more than the price of a Package deposit, then any additional funds already paid on the Room Only booking will be applied towards the full amount owed on your newly created Room + Ticket package.

    Pro Tips:
~ When you're ready to make the switch to a package, you'll have to call the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation phone line at (407) 939-1936 as these upgrades cannot be done online.
~ Check the Special Offers, Deals & Discounts tab every now and then as you can always switch a current booking to a new offer as promotions are released.
~ Keep an eye on the new updates about Returning to the World of Magic after this unprecedented closure.
~ And lastly, be sure to 'Like' and 'Follow' the Disney Parks Blog across all of your social media platforms so you'll be sure to get the newest news straight from Mickey himself as it's released. Everything from important updates to can't miss snacks!

I hope this helped to clEAR things up a bit, LaDonna, and if you have any more Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions, We're All Ears!!
