Matt from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I booked a reservation to stay at wilderness cabins with the quick service dining plan. Can I modify the reservation to remove the dining plan?

Hi Matt and welcome back to planDisney! Feeling undecided about whether you’d like to keep the Disney Dining Plan or not for your upcoming stay at Walt Disney World? Well no worries, we can talk through how to modify your reservation!

Matt, you’ll be happy to know that you are able to remove the Disney Dining Plan from your upcoming reservation. You have two primary methods of doing so. If you’ve booked vacation directly through Disney, you should be able to modify your reservation to remove the Disney Dining Plan directly through the “My Plans” page on the Walt Disney World website. Once you’re on that page, select “Change Reservation” for your vacation and you should be able to remove the dining plan there. Alternatively, you can also speak with a Cast Member to have the dining plan removed from your vacation. I’ve had luck making such changes through the chat function on the website, but you can also call to make changes. The caveat to all of this is that if you’ve booked through a travel agent, you’ll have to make any changes through them.

Matt, I see you’re staying at a Cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. My fellow panelist Ana Paula and I recently had the chance to visit this Resort to check out all of the unique amenities and offerings. If you have some down time during your stay, I highly recommend visiting Tri-Circle-D Ranch, where you’ll find a variety of breeds like Clydesdales and Shetland Ponies. Also, don’t forget to see the Dragon Calliope, a horse-drawn musical instrument (that still plays music!) from the 1950s that Walt Disney purchased himself for Disneyland!

Matt, I hope this clears things up for you and hope you have a wonderful vacation at Walt Disney World. If you have any further questions about your upcoming stay, please feel free to contact me and my fellow panelists here at planDisney!

    Your pal,

    Sean
