I booked a reservation at River Bell terrace 1/2 but there wasn’t an option to add the birthday cake, is this still offered at Disneyland?

Greetings, Dini, and welcome to planDisney! The Disneyland Resort is the perfect place to celebrate a birthday. And what’s better than celebrating with a nice meal and a decadent dessert?

I have good news: The Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake is still offered at select Disneyland Resort table-service restaurants, including River Belle Terrace. It's a beautiful dessert with a distinctly Disney whimsy, and you can get it in either chocolate or white chocolate! Whether you can add it to your reservation depends on the timing of your booking.

The Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake can typically be added as long as you're making the reservation for a participating restaurant at least three days in advance. Anything booked closer than that will not have the option to add a cake. However, there's a limited quantity of these cakes available for day-of orders. When you arrive at the restaurant, ask the host team if it's possible to add one to your dining experience. While it's not guaranteed they will have the cake available, it's always worth asking!

If it's not possible to get the cake, you can consider some of the other desserts while you're at River Belle Terrace. The current menu includes a key lime tart and a plant-based brownie that you can order from your table. You can also get a festive sweet treat elsewhere – there are plenty of great options! The Disney Parks Blog has a roundup of new and returning snacks and drinks that you can find at the Disneyland Resort. The Strawberry Shortcake Macaron from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is festive and even comes with a decorative edible candle! Some of the newer items include Pineapple Upside-Down Cake, Chocolate Croissant Cookie, Mickey-shaped Cinnamon Roll Macaron, and much more.

Don't forget to grab a complimentary birthday button at the start of the day. Many retail locations and City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. have them – just ask a Cast Member.

Dini, I hope this information has sprinkled a little pixie dust on your plans. Have a fantastic celebratory visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you think of any other questions, please reach out. We're always happy to help here at planDisney.
