I booked and requested a pet loop at Fort wilderness, the agent I talk to said that they could not confirm that I will be in that loop until a couple days before I am due to arrive. I will be already on the road. Has there ever been a problem before?

Hi Jennifer! I know you and your pet will enjoy the Fort Wilderness resort as much as we do. We travel with our two four legged boys and they look forward to their walks throughout the property.

You are not given your loop or site number until you arrive as things change constantly at this resort as well as the other resorts. Guests extend stays and depart early so you can imagine the puzzle it becomes to put everyone where they wish to be. Fort Wilderness has always accommodated those guests with pets and most of the loops are already designated pet loops. When they have over flow they will allow pets in some of the other loops as well. Obviously guests are asked to abide by the proper pet rules and which include keeping your animal on leash at all times unless you are at the dog run enclosed area. Also, make sure your pet is not making excess noise as that is the biggest complaint from other guests when they are next to a dog or pet that is a non stop barker.

Please make sure the reservation does include that you will be bringing a pet. A quick call back to confirm this will help the resort make sure you are happy and accommodated when you arrive. Happy Trails to you and all who will be joining you. Safe travels!
