Hi Kylie,
Welcome to planDisney!
Congratulations! Having a trip planned to the Walt Disney World® Resort is reason to celebrate! Without knowing exactly how you booked your vacation package, I cannot say precisely, however, I would encourage you to be prepared to pay a deposit for the car rental. On my last visit, we had a car rental through the
Disney Car Care Center. We did have to pay a deposit for the rental. When I picked up my rental, I needed to provide my driver's license and a credit card. You may also need proof of insurance.
As you continue to plan, I hope you have reviewed the
parking guidance and fees. If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, you can currently plan for complimentary self-parking at the resort hotel. Standard parking at the theme parks is also currently included for Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests. I do urge you to review the parking guidelines again prior to your visit since policies and procedures could change.
If you decide to drive to the theme parks, I also urge you to take advantage of the
Car Locator Service. And, consider Walt Disney World® Transportation. Even when we have a rental car, I still often prefer to use Disney transportation, especially if we are staying at a resort hotel with access to the
Resort Monorail or with access to the
Disney Skyliner.
Kylie, if you have not already checked, review the confirmation email for your vacation package, there may be more in the details of that email confirmation. Of course, when in doubt, I call the rental car company to confirm what we need to bring. In the meantime, continue the
practically perfect planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
