Ahoy, Natalie! Welcome to planDisney. It won't be long before you are trading reality for
Fantasy. Oh boy, is your whole family in for a magical vacation!
I am glad you stopped by planDisney with this question that tells me you already know
Disney Cruise Line is perfect for little Mouseketeers and moms and dads, too. We first cruised when my youngest was two years old. We fell in love with
Disney Cruise Line because they made it so effortless to enjoy it all.
For your question about
Remy, I could tell you that, technically, you could ask the dining team to help speed things along and get you in and out as quickly as possible. With the courses and the pacing, they may be able to make it a bit quicker, but I think you might leave the experience with regrets. And no one wants that. Remy is a dining experience designed to be a culinary masterpiece. And, honestly, I don't mean this to say that you should appreciate the pageantry more; I want you to feel like you can be present with your spouse and take the time to indulge in the experience Remy is crafting for you. You should get to
"Let it Go!" and not have
"I'm late! I'm late for a very important date!" as the soundtrack in your head.
I would reserve time at the
"it's a small world" nursery! and allow the Counselors to take great care of my child. Have you seen the nursery? It has play spaces and quiet spaces. When my son was little, I would take him before nap time so he could play and get accustomed to the space. When he started yawning, rubbing his eyes and showing the Counselors it was time for rest, they got him set up in a crib, and he slept. It was perfection!
If you knew your child was safe, cared for and able to sleep when she was ready, I think you could enjoy Remy more without worrying about the time or the pace. When dinner is done, pick up your little one and head back to your stateroom for a good night's rest. Pack a light blanket in the diaper bag and cover her head as you carry her to the room to block the light in her eyes. Even if she is fussed a bit by the move, she can still stay a little closer to her schedule and fall asleep when she is ready.
I know from your question you will still be thinking about her and worrying a bit. But in my experience, the nursery with the different spaces and the care my kids got there truly helped me sing
"Hakuna Matata!"There will be an Open House for the nursery (and all youth spaces) on Embarkation Day. I recommend stopping by when you board and checking it out. It will put your mind at ease when you see the design of the spaces. It is sweet. The Counselors are amazing. I think you can feel good about leaving your daughter here, where they will support her schedule, and you can pick her up on your time.
