Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kristine!
I could talk about
Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort ALL day long…in fact, my husband would probably tell you that I actually do! This is one of my family’s very favorite Walt Disney World Resort hotels – I can’t get enough of the Spanish details, delectable dining, and beautiful landscaping at this resort. If you want to feel pure vacation relaxation, take a walk around Lago Dorado during sunrise or sunset. It’s just stunning.
Kristine, the Gran Destino Tower just opened at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and it’s totally gorgeous.
The Disney Parks Blog just shared this short video of the tower’s lobby area, which replaces the El Centro lobby and now serves as the lobby area for all of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. I can’t get enough of the new lobby’s design details – my current favorite is the wall of lanterns, but there are so many fantastic touches, and I can’t wait to explore them all.
The Gran Destino Tower is just one building away from the El Centro building, so the lobby hasn’t moved far. You should experience very little impact on your reservation, because, to my knowledge, the Preferred Rooms remain in the Casitas section of the resort. The Preferred rooms are right beside the El Centro Building, and even though the lobby has moved, you’ll still find
Panchito’s Gifts and Sundries for shopping, as well as
several dining options, including El Mercado de Coronado, Maya Grill, Café Rix, and Rix Sports Bar & Grill. With the new bridges that cross Lago Dorado, you’ll be an easy walk to the
Lost City of Cibola Pool, and close to a quiet pool, and it’s also an easy walk to the dining and amenities inside Gran Destino Tower. If you have questions about your Preferred Room, be sure to call Walt Disney World Resort Reservations at (407) 939-1936 and a Cast Member will be happy to assist.
I hope this helps, Kristine! I think you are going to love staying at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and I’m so happy to hear you’re going to visit in December, when
holiday magic fills the air throughout The Most Magical Place on Earth. Whether you’re drinking a Pineapple Margarita at Maya Grill and soaking up the vacation vibes, dancing with Santa’s Reindeer at
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or exploring Batuu at
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, your vacation is going to be jam-packed with fun, festivities, and magical memories. Have the BEST time!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
