    Hi! I have just booked the post fireworks dessert party for our special wedding anniversary (20years!!). How long do we get to stay after the fireworks to enjoy the desserts and will there still be resort buses running once we leave? Thanks!!

    Hello there Kerry, I'd like to with you a warm welcome here at planDisney!

    Firstly, I'd like to say Congratulations on your milestone 20 years of marriage! As someone who has just passed a one-year anniversary with my husband after our own Disney Fairy Tale Wedding this past year, I can't wait to be able to celebrate it decades later in Disney style like you two! There's really nothing like being able to celebrate being married with spectacular fireworks, and I'm happy to lend some helpful insight to your special night next month:

    • I regularly spend a lot of time in the theme parks researching at the end of the day and after hours, and from what I've observed, the length of time for Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties: Post-Party tends to be about an hour or so following the conclusion of Happily Ever After as you are escorted from the designated viewing area back to Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant. (Generally speaking, the Cast Members don't strictly usher anyone attending the Post-Party out at the one hour mark but you may see the refreshments being packed up and not replenished after this time.)
    • You'll be happy to hear that buses back to the Disney Resort Hotels do continue to run quite late, and I've personally been among the very last few remaining guests in Magic Kingdom Park who were all able to catch a bus back to their accommodations. This is especially useful and reassuring considering the fact that guests may still be completing their shopping on Main Street, U.S.A., finishing a late dinner (reservations for Be Our Guest Restaurant can be as late as even five minutes before Magic Kingdom Park closing time) or like in my most recent experience - waiting to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train if the ride temporarily goes down while you're in the standby queue as the park closes.
