Hi I have just booked for port Orleans riverside for 2017. Is there a best place to reserve a room? Can you see the fireworks from any rooms there as I have a 3 year old who may be too tired to actually go into parks X

Hi Nicki! So glad you came to the Moms Panel site to get your questions answered. We have all experienced so much during our vacation travels and love helping others during their planning.

Port Orleans Riverside is definitely one of my favorite moderate resorts. I love its location being fairly close to three of the parks yet still remains a peaceful and quiet atmosphere. You have a choice between the Royal Guestrooms where you can pretend you are sleeping in your own castle with lights twinkling or you can reserve a regular wonderful room with a rustic but comfortable theme.

Alligator Bayou buildings are my own personal favorite and the absolute best building is #14. It is close to the pool and the lobby area so there is little walking back and forth and no need for the other bus stops. Buildings #18 and #27 are also in good locations. The Magnolia Bend buildings are all located across the canal and connected by bridges. Building #85 is close to the main pool area and building #90 is closest to the lobby area. Please understand that these are all large buildings and you can be placed anywhere within them when requesting.

Unfortunately, you cannot see the fireworks from this resort. You might catch a glimpse here and there and will hear them if the wind is blowing in certain directions but as far as seeing the great fireworks shows you will have to go to the parks. Maybe you can pick one night where you can have the three year old take a nice afternoon nap and stay up a little later to see the fireworks.
