Hi! I booked a 3PM capture your moment session at Magic Kingdom. As this is the same time as the festival of fantasy parade, will we still be able to get pictures with the castle in the background? Is a castle backdrop guaranteed?

Welcome to planDisney, Brittany! Thanks for sharing your question with us!

A Capture Your Movement photo session is a great way to commemorate big achievements, important life events, or just your next Walt Disney World vacation. Let’s take a look at the different Magic Kingdom spots where you can strike a pose with your Disney PhotoPass photographer.

Capture Your Movement photo sessions at the Magic Kingdom can take place in Fantasyland, Liberty Square, or Main Street U.S.A., and you’re correct that the Festival of Fantasy Parade's route will likely mean Liberty Square and Main Street U.S.A. won’t be options for you (showtimes are subject to change). But there’s good news! You should be able to get photos with Cinderella’s Castle in the background from Fantasyland. Your photographer will know all the best spots, but I’ve seen some really nice shots at the wishing well on the side of the castle on social media.

All that being said, locations are subject to change based on inclement weather and park operations, so there’s no guarantee of having the castle as your backdrop. Your photographer will tell you which locations are available at the start of your session and help you get the photos you want.

I hope this information helps you prepare for your photo session, Brittany. Pop right back if you have any other questions about your upcoming visit. Your planDisney pals are here to help!

    Magical travels!
