We booked a pirate themed room at the Caribbean Beach Hotel and we looked at the resort map and the property looks very large. We were wondering what section they were and if it was close to the themed pool with waterslides and foodcourt.

    Hi Cynthia!

Thanks for visiting the Disney World Moms Panel with your great question!

I've stayed in a Pirate Room with my own little Buccaneers & they're great fun!
Located in the 'Trinidad South' village, it is one of the furthest points from the main pool area and Old Port Royale's shops & dining. Disney's Caribbean Beach resort is indeed a large resort, beautifully laid out in its Caribbean setting around Barefoot Bay.

That being said, there is an internal resort bus to save little legs and tiny feet if you have some youngsters in your travel party! When we stayed, my Little Pirates were 7 and 10 yrs so we didn't mind the approximately 10 minute walk from our Pirate Room in Trinidad South down the pathway along the lake to Old Port Royale, the feature pool area and water slide.

If proximity to the main pool is your main priority, I'd suggest a Preferred Room location rather than the Pirate room ... but perhaps consider enjoying some alternative Pirate activities for your little ones!

If you'd like more information on additional Pirate adventures and activities you may wish to partake in with your family, I hope you'll write me back again soon and I'll be happy to assist you with more information!

Wishing you a simply Magical time at Walt Disney World Cynthia!
