I've booked Pirate and Pals for 8th Sept. I was given the time of 7.45. I then booked Chef Mickeys, for 5.50. But now when I look on the website, it gives the time as 6pm, but fireworks that day are at 9. Will I make Mickeys or should I cancel? thanks

Hello, Natalie Ann. Great minds think alike! I also have a dinner at Chef Mickey's planned right before our Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage reservations.

Here is how is works: The Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage starts an hour and 15 minutes before Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. Since fireworks start at 9 p.m. that would make the given event time of 7:45 p.m. correct. I always suggest showing up 10 minutes early to reservations, so 7:35 p.m. is when you should be making your way to the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage for check-in.

With Character Dining Experiences I suggest planning on staying for at least an hour and a half. You want to make sure everyone has eaten and seen each character come around. You mentioned that your Chef Mickey's reservation is at 6 p.m. If you think that you can keep an eye on the time and be out of Chef Mickeys by 7:30 that will give you an hour and a half to eat and visit with Mickey and friends. I suggest checking in to Chef Mickey's 10 minutes before your dinner reservation and letting your server know at the beginning of your meal that you have reservations and need to be out at 7:30 p.m. They will do whatever they can to make sure you are taken care of. I've also had a Cast Member grab a character for me. We had to leave and we hadn't see Donald yet so she ran and grabbed him so that we could be on or way.

I think that you can keep both reservations as long as you are mindful of the time. Since Chef Mickey's and the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage are both located at Disney's Contemporary Resort, you won't need as much travel time to get from point A to point B. I also think it would help if you found out your room number for the start of the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage so that you can map the route from Chef Mickey's to the room. It'll save you time.

If you need anything please don't hesitate to ask. Have fun on the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Voyage and say hi to Chef Mickey for me!
