We are booked for 12/19. On past Dec visits, we were big fans of the Osborne Family Lights, our arrival night tradition. Now that they are gone, what are our other options besides MVMCP & Candlelight Processional for an arrival day holiday spectacle?

    Hello, Terri!

My annual Christmas Eve Tradition used to be enjoying The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights, and I too was sad to see it go. My suggestion is to check out all of the Holiday happenings going on at Disney Springs. My family and I absolutely love the Christmas Tree Trail and look forward to finding our favorites every year. The trail showcases over the top, in a good way, decorated Christmas Trees. Each boasts a different theme and they are all amazing. Christmas music is playing, snow is falling from the sky and it just feels magical. There are also some pretty yummy snacks and beverages to choose from along the trail. Also around Disney Springs, you'll be able to go on a scavenger hunt to help Stitch find all of the items on his lost Christmas list, this is so fun for kids. Seasonal entertainment can be found around every corner. Some of my favorites are the carolers, stilt walkers that look like toy soldiers and the strolling musicians. There's even a chance to visit with the big man himself, Santa Claus. I think the festivities at Disney Springs is the best replacement for the lights. There are other options if this doesn't spark your interest, however. I'd also suggest checking out the Flurry of Fun at Disney's Hollywood Studios. A laser light and projection show, a new firework show, festive holiday treats scattered throughout the park and so much more. I also enjoy visiting the resort hotels to check out the holiday decorations. Some even have lifesize gingerbread houses. It's quite a sight to see.

I hope this helps! Happy Holidays.

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
