It looks like you'll be visiting the parks during one of the days of
Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nite. For these Disneyland After Dark events, Disneyland Park closes early to host the event, but Disney California Adventure Park does typically stay open for its normal hours of operation.
That means you'll either want to make your park reservation for Disney California Adventure Park for that day, or - my preferred option - purchase the
Park Hopper add-on for your theme park tickets. By adding the Park Hopper option, you'll be able to hop between both parks (subject to park capacity) starting at 11:00 AM.
As you get closer to your trip, make sure to keep an eye on the
Daily Events Schedule page. This is my preferred place to see things like park hours, event schedules, and any rides that are planned to be down for refurbishment during the dates I visit. There is a date toggle near the top left of the page and you can select which areas of the park that you'd like to see the schedule for just beneath that date toggle.
This schedule is available up to six weeks out from the current date, so you'll need to wait until early May for the date of your visit to be released.
