In my experience, when I book a package with a UK travel agent, I can only make amendments directly with that agent. Sometimes, however, the room inventory or availability might be updated with your travel agent, as we approach the date of travel. My best advice is to keep checking because your preferred room may appear. Last year we booked our Walt Disney World Disney Resort hotel with a UK agent, but then it was removed from their system so we had to change hotels, and now it is back again! My Disney Experience - your travel agent should give you a confirmation number for this - you can look at your hotel reservation and you will see a "Call Resort Hotel" button to tap. You could try calling
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside and ask if there is availability to upgrade your room. It's always worth asking the question. I also call my resort hotel around 7-10 days before I arrive, to advise them of my specific room request. I believe they assign rooms to guests around 3-5 days before your arrival date. This is more about room location than category, but again, it's always worth asking. Lastly, when you check-in, enquire again! If the hotel is not fully booked, they may be able to assist you. Reservations change all the time and if you frequently check back you may just find what you are looking for. Disney's Port Orleans Resort is a beautiful place to stay, and I hope you will be successful in finding your preferred room.
