I booked my package reservation August, 2017 for this August. Am I going to have to pay parking at the resort? also, if I book a room only reservation, what is the deposit required?

    Hi Jacalyn,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. I love visiting Walt Disney World Resort in summer, and this summer is shaping up to be an Incredible Summer with so many new adventures around every corner in the theme parks!

I’m happy to confirm that Guests who made their Walt Disney World Resort reservation before March 21, 2018 will not be charged for overnight self-parking. My family had a visit in late March, right after the policy went into effect, and I was so relieved to hear that news. The Walt Disney World website has been updated with the latest parking policies and prices, so be sure to check when you make your plans for your next magical vacation (I am always planning a Disney vacation!).

In response to your second question, the deposit currently required for a room-only reservation is the equivalent of one night’s stay. Please note that these policies can change, and this may not apply to every type of offer, so your best bet is to confirm with the Walt Disney World Reservations Cast Members at (407) 939-1936 when you are booking your resort room.

Jacalyn, have the best summer visit to Walt Disney World, and enjoy cooling off in the resort pool, eating all the Dole Whips and Mickey Bars your heart desires, and feeling the wind in your hair as you traverse Big Thunder Mountain!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
