Hi, Deborah!
Nothing beats a stay at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, the flagship resort of Walt Disney World. The service, atmosphere, and location are truly second to none!
I cannot think of any rooms at Disney's Grand Floridian that do not have a balcony. I recently stayed in a 5th floor room and had a balcony. Now keep in mind, on the upper floors, the rooms have vaulted ceilings which is nice, but the balconies have a solid wall so to see anything, you need to stand. The balconies are also a bit smaller, so if you plan to spend a lot of time relaxing on your balcony, a lower floor might suit you better. My family of 4 had a difficult time all fitting on our 5th floor balcony to watch the fireworks, so next time I would probably opt for a lower floor if available.
If you would like to add room/floor preference to your resort reservation, call (407)934-7639 and have your request noted. Then, about 5 days prior to your arrival, send a friendly fax directly to the Grand Floridian ATTN: Room Assignments and state your request. While Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your request, a specific room or location cannot be guaranteed.
Enjoy your stay at this amazing resort. Plan plenty of time to
enjoy the pools and beautiful lobby. My favorite part of staying here is hearing the early morning horns and whistles from the ferry and railroad - magic that only happens at
Walt Disney World!
