We are booked for October for Disney New Orleans French Quarters. My son is handicapped (Quadripeligic) I need to be able to bath him and was wondering if bathchairs can be rented from a local disability business while we are there?

    Hi Brenda!

You made an excellent choice in accommodations!  Port Orleans French Quarter is so quaint and its small size makes it so easy to navigate.  Be sure to note on your reservation that you will have a disabled person in your party, as there are only 12 rooms built to accommodate disabled guests at this resort.  Since you have a medical necessity for one of these rooms, I suggest calling (407) 939-7670, which is a line reserved specifically for these requests.  Did you know that Disney has a section on their website devoted to guests with special needs?  Simply click here to be taken to this very informational page.

Gosh I talk a lot - Don't worry, I haven't forgotten your original question!  The folks at Care Medical Equipment are just the people that you need to contact.  Not only can you rent a variety of bath chairs from them, but they will deliver and pick it up for free!  You may find that you can leave a lot of his equipment behind - this company offers just about everything.  I think that you will find Disney World is wonderful about accommodating guests with disabilities - have a magical trip!

    Much pixie dust,
