We are booked from Nov 24 to 30 at AKL with our 5 yr old daughter. This is a last minute trip and I'm having a difficult time making a schedule of our week with so little time, could someone help me plan my week - this is our first Disney trip. Thanks!

    Hi Sophie!

How exciting to be embarking on your first trip to Walt Disney World trip later this month!  My husband and I took our son for his first trip to Walt Disney World when he was five and we found it was the perfect age to discover Disney magic for the very first time.

Since you will be guests at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, I recommend that you take advantage of Extra Magic Hours (EMH) in the Disney theme parks, especially ones available at the beginning of the day.  Therefore, I suggest that you follow the following park schedule:

Nov. 24:  Even though you may not plan to enter a park this day.  Head over to Disney's Polynesian Resort and watch the Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from the beach behind this resort.  A magical start to any vacation!

Nov. 25:  Although there are no Extra Magic Hours at this park, I suggest you start your day at the Magic Kingdom.  It is the perfect park for a child your daughter's age.  Be sure to start your day in the New Fantasyland section of the park.

Nov. 26:  Arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom in time for EMH.  Head to Kilimanjaro Safaris first.

Nov. 27:  Arrive at Epcot in time for EMH.

Nov. 28:  Off to Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Head to Toy Story Mania first.

Nov. 29th:  Head to the Magic Kingdom (EMH) or any park that you wish to visit again.

Nov. 30:  Enjoy a lovely breakfast before departure and start planning your next Disney adventure on your way home.

    Safe travels, Sophie!
