We are booked for 7 nights, September 20-27 at Yacht Club. We booked this time frame hoping to avoid crowds. What affect do you think Star Wars land will have on attendance at the other parks? I am completely fine with skipping Hollywood Studios.

Hi, Gina!  Star Wars fans like myself received some very exciting news last week when it was announced that Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge would be opening ahead of schedule.  Of course, we can only speculate at this time as to how the opening of this highly anticipated new land will affect crowds, but keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all of the latest news and announcements.

In my personal experience, I have found that planning ahead for my visit to the Walt Disney World Resort lets me enjoy the magic no matter what the crowd levels are.  Be sure to book your dining reservations 180 days before your vacation.  You will also want to get an idea of what your must-do attractions and experiences are.  Since you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you will be able to make your FastPass+ selections 60 days prior to your arrival.

I think you will find that September is still a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort.  Since you are staying at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, you will be just a short walk away from one of my favorite events, The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival.  You may also want to look into attending Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party during your visit.

    See ya real soon! ~Samantha
