I booked a 4 night stay at a Disney Resort with a three theme park package -- i need to cancel one theme park because we can only afford to do 2 parks this trip

Hey howdy hey Sarah and welcome to planDisney!

Looks like you are doing things right with your trip planned for this spring in April. This is my all-time favorite time to be in Walt Disney World Resort especially for EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. I love gardening, being outdoors and just warmer weather in general, and what a way to celebrate the transition than a festival in EPCOT! So many cool things to see from the landscape to highlight the colors of the season, so many really good food offerings and the topiaries around the park are so much fun to find and take our pictures with!

The other notable benefit that you have is staying onsite. It is so convenient to navigate the resort and the parks when you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort Collection Hotel. Another nice part about your situation is the flexibility of booking packages when it comes to a Disney vacation. With your situation in particular, needing to modify your park tickets, you have a couple of options. As per the Terms and Conditions of booking your vacation package, as long as it is a package, you have the option to cancel with no penalty 30 days prior to your arrival date. If you wanted to, you could do this from your My Disney Experience account and looking to the right of your reservation you will see "Cancel My Reservation" link. Click on this and follow the prompts for the full refund. You would then rebook your trip with the updated information of two theme park tickets. Before you did this however, I would make sure there is still availability at the resort you want as well as for the theme park reservations. You also have the option to call Disney directly at (407) 939-5277 and have a Cast Member help you through this process.

With your trip coming up, I would also make sure to keep an eye on the park hours and any perks such as the Early Theme Park Entry times or any Extended Evening hours to maximize your time in the parks. This was so helpful for our trips in the past being able to access the parks with reduced capacity to experience some of the highly popular attractions with shorter wait times compared to normal park hours. Good luck with your continued planning and if you have any further questions let us know, we love talking all things Walt Disney World Resort here at planDisney!

    Happy planning,
