We have booked a 7-night Mexican Riviera cruise, leaving out of LA. However, I cannot find information anywhere about flying into the Long Beach Airport. Will this be okay? We plan to taxi from LGB to the cruise ship terminal. Has anyone else done this

    Hi, Dominique!

Congratulations on your upcoming cruise to the Mexican Riviera on the beautiful Disney Wonder! My family and I sailed this exact itinerary in November, and we long for those warm, wonderful days spent in Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta. You and yours are going to have the time of your lives!

When we sailed, we flew into the Los Angeles International (LAX) airport and took the Disneyland shuttle to the resort before embarking the next day. However, since you're in the west, I think it would be perfectly fine to fly into Long Beach and taxi to the port terminal on the same travel day. You'll just want to make sure you plan for plenty of time to get to the port from the airport (in LA traffic).  Here's hoping that Sunday traffic is not quite as bad as the middle of the week!

DisneyCruise.com Planning Center recommends an arrival time on Embarkation Day to be no later than 12 p.m. if you're flying into LAX -- so you may want to keep with those guidelines as well. Let me know if you think of other questions for me, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!

    Bon voyage,

    Andi
