We are booked for a 7 night Halloween cruise this fall, hoping things will be up and running by then! Is Halloween celebrated throughout the week, or just one day, like Star Wars Day at Sea? Would we want more than one costume? (We LOVE Halloween!)

    Hi Patti!

I applaud your decision to do a Halloween on the High Seas sailing with Captain Mickey! I must admit, the fall is my favorite time to take an adventure at sea. Probably in no small part because my family has loved these SPOOKTACULAR itineraries. It’s so exciting to SEA holiday decorations everywhere, from jack-o-lanterns on the portholes to the festive Pumpkin Tree in the Atrium.

The Halloween frivolity will indeed happen on multiple days during your voyage. Usually, there are at least two nights where you will be encouraged to dress up in costumes. One will be earmarked for Halloween costumes and the second will be for Pirate Night.

Some of the Halloween on the High Seas highlights include activities like Mickey's Mouse-querade Party and a trick-or-treat party onboard. Don’t miss the story of the Pumpkin Tree, which is typically the first night onboard-it’s beWITCHing! For fans of Jack Skellington and Sally, they can usually be found after their signature event, Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing and Scream. There’s even an adults exclusive party called "Halloween Isn't Just for Kids" that’s a costume contest. Let me tell you, some of the most amazing costumes I’ve ever SEEN were worn by guests competing in this costume contest! So bring your Halloween costumes because this fun and frivolity is not to be missed.

Sounds like you will be all in for dressing up for Pirate Night, too. Between the ever-popular Pirates in the Caribbean deck party and the exclusive Disney fireworks at sea, it’s sure to be a swashbuckling experience. So pack some pirate gear in your luggage to get immersed in the pirate theme...savvy? If you do, Captain Jack will surely be impressed.

Since onboard entertainment is always subject to change, I highly recommend checking the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app for details of all the events during your cruise. The app will steer you in the right direction as far as the daily activities, live shows, Pirate Night and Halloween on the High Seas events.
