Sherri from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We have booked 1 night at The Disneyland Hotel for July 2024 in order to get early entry into Disneyland. They just changed their policy and will be alternating which park will be available for early entry. How are they determining which park which day?

    Hey there Sherri,

Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for your question! Early Entry at the Disneyland Resort has been a super helpful way to fit in another attraction or two when I've visited with friends and family.

Starting January 20, 2024, this benefit will be updated as you mentioned to allow for 30-minute early entry into a designated theme park for each day of a stay at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort.

According to the Early Entry page, it says that we'll need to check the theme park calendar for the schedule once it becomes available. Currently, the calendar shows the schedules for the parks about six weeks out. Assuming that continues to be the best place to check into next year, that means you'll want to check in about mid-June of next year to see the Early Entry schedule for your trip.

Additionally, I would recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog for any additional information between now and then as well! I've found this to be the best place to get the most updated information about the Disneyland Resort.

There are so many different ways to approach how to utilize your early entry time, but since we have two little ones, we typically try to tackle Fantasyland first thing in the morning - specifically Peter Pan's Flight as it seems to get the busiest during normal park hours. If we're starting in Disney California Adventure Park, we usually head straight for WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure!

Thanks again for your question, Sherri. So glad you're getting an early jump on the planning! Please feel free to come back and see us if you think of any other ways we can help you plan your next trip.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
