We have booked a 4 night cruise on the Dream for October. My family drinks a lot of water. I saw that bottled water is NOT free. How is the free water on board the ship? Or, should I invest into purchasing the cases of water they have available ?

    Welcome aboard, Dianne!

It won't be long and you'll be up on the deck partying with Captain Mickey on the sail away party! You and your family will have a fabulous voyage on the Disney Dream and I am happy to help add any pixie dusted planning assistance for your vacation.

Bottled water is an essential part of luggage planning in my family too - we drink lots of it, and I like having it handy in my stateroom. You've actually got some choices. There is bottled water available for purchase on board for $36 a case. You can purchase it once you get on board and it will be delivered straight to your stateroom. As an option, you can also purchase your own case of bottled water at a local store and carry it onto the ship with you - at a fraction of the price onboard. I usually split the case into 2 of our carry on roller bags and easily wheel it onboard with us. The small water bottles are best, since the refrigerator in the staterooms are small and can only hold a few at a time. My roller bag holds it in nicely along with 1 wine bottle :-). Another option is to just bring refillable water containers and get free refills of water and ice at the drink stations by the pool. The water is actually fine and we've had no problems with it ever. I've honestly done all these choices in the past, and somehow, I still prefer bringing my own. I do end up with extra luggage space at the end of the voyage, which I fill up with souvenirs.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you need any additional planning help.

    Wishing you a magical voyage!
