Hi, have booked a 3 night cruise on the Dream in Feb'11 with my husband & 2 sons (9&5), we have booked a Deluxe Family stateroom with veranda, thinking of upgrading to the concierge room, is it worth the extra $640?? I know everyone is different, t

    Hi Wendy,

You hit the nail on the head, everyone is different!  We have sailed concierge and although it was nice, we really didn't utilize the services that the concierge provides.  In all honestly, my favorite "perks" of concierge were 1) Priority Boarding - it was nice to board the ship in the first wave of guests, it really allowed us to maximize our time onboard.  2) Hot Breakfast - Every morning we had full, hot breakfast brought to us in our stateroom.  With little ones this was huge benefit for us.

Now that being said, I am anxious to sail concierge on the new ships - unlike the Magic and the Wonder they will have a concierge lounge and sun deck.  I did research it for our first sailing on the Dream, but opted to skip concierge this voyage due to the higher rates and smaller cabins (compared to the Wonder and Magic).  We decided to get two connecting rooms to maximize our dollars and space for our family of five.

    I hope this helps!
