I am booked for a 3 night cruise on Disney Dream December 11-14. I’m curious about Pirate Night.

    Ahoy, Jill!

Welcome aboard planDisney! The Disney Dream holds a special place for me since it was the very first ship my crew and I ever sailed on, and I love that yours will be a Very Merrytime sailing. You’re picking a fantastic time of year when the ship feels extra cozy, extra festive, and full of surprises around every corner.

Now for the not-so-magical part of the answer, at least for the moment. Your sailing is still a bit early for the finalized entertainment schedule, so Pirate Night hasn’t officially been locked in yet. Disney typically updates the theme night schedule around 130 days before sailing, though it can be a little sooner or later. Once you’re onboard, your Disney Cruise Line Navigator app will be the Pascal to your Rapunzel and keep you updated with the latest schedule and any changes along the way.

If I were to look into my magical snow globe, I would predict that your sailing will enjoy Pirate Night on Day 2, after your fun-filled day at Lookout Cay. On 3-night sailings, you’ll still get all the pirate-themed activities throughout the day and, of course, the deck party with fireworks (weather permitting), but you typically won’t see the pirate-themed dinner menu. This is done so each Guest gets the full experience in all three rotational dining rooms.

Something else worth keeping in mind is how Pirate Night has paired with holiday entertainment in the past. During the most recent holiday season, many 3-night sailings combined Mickey and Minnie’s Holiday Party with Pirate Night on the same evening. It’s possible that happens again for your cruise, though sometimes the holiday festivities shift to a different night. If they do share the same evening, checking the Navigator app once onboard will be key. In past sailings, the holiday fun has often taken place in between the two dinner seating times, with the pirate festivities sailing in later around 10:15 PM, though times are always subject to change.

Once your activity booking window opens, I also recommend checking the Navigator app for the Pirate-Themed Makeover under the “My Plans” section. Whichever day that experience appears is a strong clue for when Pirate Night is currently planned.

I hope this helps as you start mapping out your cruise days and deciding what to pack. Pirate Night is always a highlight, and the added holiday twist makes it even more memorable!

Sea ya real soon as the adventure continues into a bright new year,
    Dustin
