Hi Darius,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for asking us a question!
The
Disney Dream will always hold a special place in my heart – she really is a beautiful ship and you’re in for an amazing voyage out of
Barcelona next July.
Disney Cruise Line recommends that Guests arranging independent air travel for Barcelona to Barcelona sailings arrange for a
departure time no earlier than 12:30 PM. I’ve been known to sometimes cut my flights a little close when I’m sailing out of Port Canaveral, but that’s a risk I’m not willing to take at other ports. While I have lots of flight options for getting home from Orlando International Airport, there are typically fewer ones out of other ports, especially those located overseas.
I know you’re likely flying to Barcelona from another destination in Europe, so flight availability may not be an issue for you. That said, if you do want to stick to these flight times, you’ll need to ask yourself whether the stress of trying to make your flight is worth the risk, and whether you can afford the financial risks and headaches if you do miss your flight. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth potentially ruining an amazing experience with a difficult journey home, especially if it can be avoided. I’d therefore recommend that you fly out of Barcelona the next day, if that’s your only other option. It’s an absolutely BEAUTIFUL city, so I’m sure that you’ll find a great way to end your vacation in style!
Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your cruise next year. We’re always here to help!
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
