Ahoy, Julie!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Your family’s upcoming 4-Night Bahamian cruise on the
Disney Magic from San Juan to Fort Lauderdale sounds absolutely enchanting—what an adventure! Let’s chart a course for smooth sailing and talk about
travel documents for your little Mouseketeers.
For U.S. citizens, passports are not required for this itinerary. For kiddos 15 and younger, an original state-issued birth certificate will do the trick. Easy peasy! For anyone 16 or older in your crew not using passports, they’ll need both a government-issued photo ID and their original (no copies!) birth certificate.
That said, while passports aren’t required, I always recommend having them. My family’s first Disney cruise was when my kids were younger, and while we didn’t need passports for that trip, we got them just in case. You never know when you might encounter an unexpected detour or need to fly back home for any reason, and having a passport ensures smooth sailing in situations like that. Plus, it makes the
embarkation and debarkation process a little more streamlined—think of it as your Lightning Lane to the customs line!
Since you’ll be sailing on the Disney Magic, you’re in for an incredible treat. Don’t miss the chance to dine at
Rapunzel’s Royal Table—it’s such a lively and fun experience with plenty of music and magic! And of course, get ready for
Pirate Night, where your crew can channel their inner buccaneers and enjoy fireworks at sea. It’s an unforgettable highlight of any Disney cruise!
Julie, I hope this helps as you finalize your plans for your magical adventure. If you have any other questions,
feel free to sail my way again—I’d be happy to help!
Sea ya real soon with pixie dust and ocean breezes,
Dustin
