Hello! Thanks for cruising our way, Elena! My pals and I are happy to help you here at planDisney.
Oh boy! You just booked one of the best sailings ever... a
Halloween on the High Seas voyage! These sailing are frightfully fun with not-so-spooky decor, Halloween-themed activities, Disney Characters in their ghoulish garb, and entertainment to get your Halloween spirits up!
Once you step onboard the ship, that's when you will use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app to see which day Halloween will be celebrated with entertainment like Mickey's Mouse-querade party, trick-or-treating, and a Halloween party just for adults. You'll also be able to see which night you can expect to party like a pirate with a buccaneer bash onboard. One night guests will also be encouraged to dress up a bit, so if you'd like to bring some fancier clothing, that's the perfect night to wear it. As always, guests are welcome to wear
cruise casual clothing in the main dining areas aboard the ship if they aren't interested in costumes, swashbuckling attire, or even wearing a collared shirt.
If you'd like to plan your outfits and get into the theme, your best bet is the following: one Halloween costume, one pirate outfit, a dressier ensemble, and some cruise casual outfits for the remainder of your time. Disney Cruise Line has a helpful
packing checklist to use as you prepare your suitcases for your adventure. I like to bring a swimsuit, sunscreen, and hat in my carry-on luggage as well. I change shortly after my stateroom is available and head to the pool to start my vacation off with some relaxation and an ice cream cone. No tricks... just treats!
If you'd like to know more about what to expect with your upcoming themed sailing, you can
listen to or watch episode three of the planDisney podcast. It's all about celebrating holidays at Disney Theme Parks and aboard Disney Cruise Line. I hope you'll be grim grinning from ear to ear as you anticipate your upcoming voyage on the haunted high seas!
Have a fa-boo-lous time!
