We're booked on the Mexican Riviera cruise in December 2011. Our December temperatures at home average high 80's-90's f. Will there be heated pools if we find the weather too chilly for us?

    Hi, Mary Ann!

You are speaking my language! I am from the Southeastern United States -- where, in the middle of our winter, I am sitting on my back porch in shorts. I don't like to be cold, and I certainly don't want to be cold when I'm swimming.

In December, Southern California (from which you'll be departing) usually tops out in the upper 60s F with the Mexican Riviera boasting a dry heat of upper 70s F. (For me -- and it sounds like for you, too -- that's a little on the chilly side for swimming.) Therefore, Disney Cruise Line heats the water in its ships' pools when the temperature starts to fall, and of course, there are several hot tubs by the family pools as well as the adult pools. I hope this helps you plan accordingly, and I wish you an unseasonably warm December for your cruise!

Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
