Hi Cyndi,
I think you have made a wise purchase with the
Disney Dining Plan! If you have never used a dining plan before, I will emphasize that you receive your meal and snack credits based on the number of nights you stay. For example, if you are staying for five nights/six days, each guest would receive 10 meals total (five Quick-Service and five Table-Service).
There are certainly
Character Meals that only require one Table-Service credit! My family has enjoyed
The Crystal Palace,
Chef Mickey's,
Hollywood & Vine,
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, and
1900 Park Fare. They all require one Table-Service credit per guest 3-years old and over in 2017.
Currently, to check dining plan requirements for a restaurant, go to the
Walt Disney World Resort website, click on "Things to Do," then "All Dining." Once you find your restaurant, click the link to that restaurant. Then under the dollar signs that estimate the price, you should see a link that says "Some Dining Plans Accepted." If you click that link, a menu should pop up that tells you how many meal credits that restaurant requires if it accepts a dining plan.
Happy Planning!
