Loren from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I booked my lightning pass for my later in the day, can I book another lightning pass before my booked lightning lane ride?

Hiya, Loren, and thanks for stopping by planDisney! You're at the Most Magical Place on Earth, so I'm both excited and envious. Let's look at how Disney Genie+ service can help you utilize your time during your visit.

When you purchase Disney Genie+ service for the day, you can typically book your next Lightning Lane entry at one of two points: after you've scanned in for the current entry or after two hours have passed since booking the previous one.

One way to check when your window will open is in your My Disney Experience mobile app. Tap the "Rides, Shows & Lightning Lane Entry" tile and look near the top of the Tip Board screen for a note indicating when you can book your next attraction.

Remember, once you scan in at a Lightning Lane entry, you should be able to book your next attraction on your app immediately, even if that's before two hours have passed. Note that a few attractions have two Lightning Lane scanning points, so you'll need to scan in at both to select your next attraction.

It takes some practice, but I have faith in you, Loren! You'll master the ins and outs of Disney Genie+ service in no time. If you have any questions and need immediate assistance while in the theme parks, please be sure to look for the blue Guest Experience umbrellas scattered throughout the parks. The Cast Members there can scan your MagicBand and help you troubleshoot any issues. They're like tech-savvy Fairy Godmothers!

My favorite use of a Lightning Lane entry is for Slinky Dog Dash at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Since this colorful, toy-friendly coaster typically has a long stand-by queue, I think it's perfect for Disney Genie+ service. My tip is to book it at 7:00 AM sharp since it often runs out of return times. As Slinky says, "Hang on!"

Loren, I hope you make some magical memories during your trip. Please stop by planDisney anytime!

    Magic awaits,
