I just booked a last minute trip to Disney World (we are leaving in 4 days) it says that I am going to be getting travel documents in the mail but I don't think they will come in time. What is included in these travel documents and do I need them?

Hey Howdy Hey Lauren and welcome to planDisney!

Wow, in just a few days you will be in the Magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! The fall and Halloween seasons in the parks and at the resort are amazing this time of year. The weather is cooler, the theming around the resort is great and a few of my favorite things are happening in the parks. Before we get to all that, let's talk about your travel documents!

Lauren, as you mentioned, you may be too close to your travel dates when your vacation was booked to receive your travel documents. In this case, the system picks up that this is the case and instead of mailing them to your house, they are typically sent to your resort to pick up at the front desk. These documents are typically your confirmation of your reservation, luggage tags and a few discounts on things like miniature golf and other experiences around the resort. You should be able to stop by the front desk on your arrival day to collect your documents and check them out.

Since your trip was booked last minute, you may be too late to purchase tickets for Mickey's Not-So-Scarry Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom but not too late to enjoy the experience of the fireworks. One of my favorite ways to enjoy my time is with a little resort hopping. The resorts around Magic Kingdom make it so easy to get to each connected by the Walt Disney World Monorail. Guests are free to enjoy the shopping, dining and recreational offerings of each resort. If you time things right, you can check out the fireworks in Magic Kingdom from the beaches of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The music is pipped in and the experience is amazing. It is one of the best places to check out the fireworks outside of the parks!

I hope you have an amazing time at the Most Magical Place on Earth really soon! If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know, we are always happy to help!

    To Infinity and Beyond,

    Nick
